Everything about Samsung Galaxy S8:

Physical Design:

The main thing focused in the design of Galaxy S8 is the biggest screen in the smallest device. Robert Kim, Vice President of Samsung’s global product strategy team, stated, ” The contradiction is that customers want to have  a bigger screen size but a small form factor.” Samsung always comes up to satisfy its customers. It is constantly trying to reduce the complexity of the design by shrinking and bending the edges.

The new and latest Samsung Galaxy S8 is comparatively tall and narrow than its previous models. The dimensions are 5.86 by 2.68 by 0.31 inches and weigh  5.47 ounces. It’s better than Samsung Galaxy S7 in every aspect even with a bigger screen (5.8 inches).
The display is bright with saturated colors which not only give a perfect colorful picture but also perfect whites and perfect blacks. The aspect ratio is 18.5:9 which is more than most of the phones present in the market right now such as Galaxy S7 Edge or iPhone 7 Plus (16:9).
A new button on the left-hand side activates Samsung’s Voice Assistant, Bixby. The phone indicates for any new notification with the help of a LED.
The bottom portion covers the speaker with a USB-C port for charging and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The speaker sound is comparatively 1 dB louder than S7.
To unlock the screen, there is a fingerprint scanner at the back side along with the camera, like previous Samsung models.
It’s more durable than S7. The front screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 and the phone is waterproof.

Operation of the Screen:

The complete 5.8-inch screen is available without any home button. To come to the home screen, you simply need to press the home button icon on the screen itself. Even there is no App Drawer icon as well.It has been disabled in many phones like Vivo or Oppo but they made the apps available on home screen, just like iPhones. This option kind of fills the screen unnecessarily. In the S8, you would find the apps by swiping up the home area.
As it has a larger aspect ratio in comparison to other phones, there is a little difficulty in viewing the videos, as they either get stretched to cover the complete screen or there are black bars at the sides of the screen. On this, Samsung Mobile CEO has said that all their major partners are working on it, whereas Facebook has already updated it for this new size.
Because of its size, many apps, videos or games might create a disturbance with the screen. Although it supports every major thing, the only concern is a large size, which might cause black bars on the side of the display. Such as 21:9 will give a better experience of movies while 16:9 will make the display smaller than the screen or stretches it too far which forces the part of the image off of the screen.

Internal Features:

Network, Storage, and Battery:

Just like other phones, Samsung Galaxy S8 also supports 2G/3G/4G Networks, HD Voice, Volte or Wi-Fi calling. The microphone has a noise cancellation property because of which you would have a great voice calling experience, even on speakers.

Therefore, you can free your phone’s space and transfer your data to the SD Card with any hassle, even the apps which take nearly 10-11GB of the phone’s storage.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is having 3,000 mAh battery, which is enough to operate it for about 16-24 hours, depending on the usage. it provides a faster charging facility. In almost 1.5 hours, it can charge from 0-100 percent.
As per Bookeun, VP of R&D section of Samsung Mobile told that as compared to the other mobile batteries, which hold about 80 percent of their charge after 2 years, S8 will be capable to keep its 95 percent charge of its original capacity.

As per the safety concern, Samsung assures that Samsung Galaxy S8’s battery has tested to a greater extent and it won’t explode like Galaxy Note 7.

The selective focus mode gives an option of raw capture and manual shutter speed. The low-light performance is also taken a higher step. With comparison to S7, S8 provides sharper images with better colors. Over-all its the best camera present in the smartphones.
Coming over to the front camera, it has been upgraded from 5 MP to 8MP with auto-focus quality. This ensures more focus on the face while taking the selfies and less focus on the background. This focus can be adjusted manually by touching the screen at a particular location.

In low light, the front-facing camera gives a warm tone to the skin which keeps it natural without any artificial touch.
The video is recorded at 30fps from both the cameras. The back camera records 4K videos while the front camera records 2560 by 1440. There is also a feature to capture slow motion videos at 60fps (1080p).
